Just moved into my first home and we have had no hot water from the taps. Luckily have an electric shower.
This is the hot water tank and a pump. No power seems to be coming from the pump and no light on the plug. I am clueless here. Any ideas if i can fix it myself or if i need a professional is it going to be expensive ?

The light on the switch / immersion etc. will likely activate, when the programmer (above it) calls for heat.
Quick start guide attached...

Is somebody having a laugh with that pump set-up?

Hopefully you have Hot Water now?

I would be concerned about the pump setup, it's badly installed for starters, and I suspect was fitted to try and increase water pressure at the taps due to the setup in the property.

Given you've a Combination Cylinder with a small cold water storage cistern at the top, the chances are you'll empty the cold storage quite quickly, which apart from anything else, may wreck the pump.

no still no hot water i will have no choice but to get a professional put by the sounds of it with my fingers crossed it won't be too expensive

More pics are needed.

Ones showing where the wires from the two heating elements go...
Lower one will typically be for E7 night-time heat input.
Upper one is for a daytime 'Boost' of hot water (if to that switch/neon it may only come on when the boost button on the Select controller is pressed.

Pics of the Consumer Unit (with labels readable) and the meter / fuses / switches will help as well to identify if any are off when they should be on etc.,.
