New Hotpoint WF340P Wont Power Up

I recieved delivery of a brand new hotpoint WF340P this afternoon (21/10/2005).

Having Plumbed it in and connected it to the power supply I pressed the power on/off button but it would not switch on. I checked the fuse but still no joy.

Any Ideas?

Plug something else into the socket to make sure that's working then ring Hotpoint and ask for their help.

faulty or loose door switch?. mine went on my 3 month old hotpoint.
