have just installed a new quad LNB to the dish

Connected two inputs to above (new) box and second channel will not lock

have swapped the inputs and this shows good strength & quality off both of them on the 1st channel so problem appears to be the box

help please

Have you fitted a quad or quattro LNB ??

I remember a thread on this not to long ago - I will search for it.

I have a dish in Spain and because the signal is weak the digibox does not lock - but still works OK. It's probably just a threshold set in the box and your signal has just fallen below. I persume the signal from a quad LNB is weaker on each section than it would be from a singal LNB.

Just to relate my experience. I recently purchased a Raven Quad LNB which is supposed to work with the Sky minidish because I wanted to run another feed into another room and I could move the standard sky box between rooms. However I only got "No satellite signal received" message from the box. I switched everything off before doing any changes etc. Anyway, when I put the single O/P LNB back I got the same problem. I had not touched the dish itself. Much head scratching and eventually everything just worked without touching anything. However when I found the LNB menu I found that I was getting no signal strength from the Raven unit. The single O/P gives some signal even when completely removed from the dish, possibly reflections from the wall. Maybe I have a dead quad LNB but there appears to be no easy way of testing them.

OK problem solved

Downloaded newest revision of software, did a system reset - all now Hunky Dory

Did have some help from a more specialised ( sorry ) forum
