The better known names such as Bosch Siemens and, if you can afford them, Miele.
But the reality is even with the big hitters there are wide variations within brands, regarding their reliability.
If you can get a free 3 or even 5 year extended warranty, or pay a little extra for them, that can be very valuable in itself, though these ( at least the free ones) are harder to come by than they were.
