Hello,

Im trying to change my old dimmer switch to a standard switch, there are 2 ligjt switches, one in the corridor which also controls upstairs light, but the dimmer only does the front room.

The old dimmer has L1, L2 and com.

The new one had 2 x L1 and 2 x L2.

My wiring is the old sort and has a yellow, how would i wire this up?

Pics attached.

Are you sure you have bought the correct switch? Looks like an intermediate (which is printed on it)

Nope, i just picked one up thinking they all worked the same...thank you for pointing this out to me, ill have to go back and swap it, unless there is a way to get it to work?

Ive tried, but which ever way i put the cables i cant turn it off unless the switch in the hallway is in a certain position.

Have you tried the red currently in C (on dimmer) into L1 on the new switch then the blue/back in L1(dimmer) onto L2 on the new switch and red/yellow in L2 (dimmer) into the other L2 on the new switch
