Hi,
ive just installed some wire rope lighting in a large bedroom. In total its 600w. Now the problem is that every time i switch them on it trips the mcb. Sometimes they will switch on normally but most of the time it trips.
Ive tried disconnecting the transformers and have 4 running but its still doing the same. Even upped the 6A to a 10A but no use. These are the heavy duty wire wound square transformers mounted up in the loft.
What do do?
Is it ok to tap off a line from the ring main (Spur) put a FCU inline and then power up the lights? This is a last resort if possible in the hope that they dont continue to trip.
Thanks for any advice
