New locking mechanism needed

My tenant has pulled the handle off the window and lost the square long pin that links the handle to the window lock. The locking mechanism won't budge and may have been left in the locked position.
Where can I get a new square long pin from please?

It's called a spindle.

I suppose this is a plastic window?

How do you plan to re-attach the old handle?

Some of these handles state that they come with a new spindle. I thought they all did. The price is trivial

but you may do better to get your local Plastic Window Repairman in. There will be one.

Some handles come with different length spindles in the packet, held in place with a tiny magnet in the end of each spindle you just swap out to the length you need. Some (most now) come with one spindle pressed into the handle and is not removeable however it will be about 50mm long so it allows you to hacksaw to the correct length.
