Having my loft done and the floor is knackered. The joists in part of it have been eaten by wood worm (older part of house, all since left). Whilst we could do a patch job with the beams and strengthen them by running ones along side the ceiling height of the room underneath is not great.
The builder has suggested ripping it out and fitting a concrete floor, he is putting the costs together and reckons it should give us some more head room as well.
Does this seem a bit extreme?
