We had Evocore LVT installed (boards not tiles) early this year in a new build. We used recommended underlay options by the manufacturer.

Noticed in a couple of places, small gaps have opened up. One is end-to-end, one is along the long edge:

I'm not sure how this can easily happen given they all lock together, I'm aware you can get buckling if you don't leave a gap at the edge but this seems the opposite.

Anyone able to offer any advice why this might happen, and what to do about it?

I'd get that with traditional laminate... Though I wouldn't expect it to crack open if installed right!

But one of the big selling points of lvt is that it is stable.
Of course the floor underneath is wood, but either way what should I do?

Working back to edge of room you should be able to kick the boards together, bare feet work best as they give better friction .

Click and sunlight don’t work. Hardly sell it now unless it’s a flat floor and no sunlight in the room
