New monitor

Hi. I'm choosing a new monitor. I want to pay around £90.

Is this a good piece of kit?

Doesn't look like it has a digital input, VGA analog only....this may not bother you depending on what connections your PC has and what you intend to use the monitor for.

Nice enough looking bit of kit though, I myself have ran a 19" LG Widescreen for a couple of years now....not a pick of bother...I don't do anything demanding though, bit of Internet, e-mail etc...

Do you really want a widescreen monitor? Will you be playing games or watching movies on it? Or will it be just used for general computing.

Personally I like a nice square (4:3) screen in front of me, the widescreen ones seem a bit 'slotty' until you get up to about 22".

Personal pref though so go and have a gander at some in PC World or something to get an idea.

If your graphics adaptor has a DVI you won't get the benefit with this model as it appears to be VGA only. This one is about a tenner more, has a higher resolution and also has DVI.

Iiyama monitors are pretty good.
