Hey all,
I want to run a water feed to my planned garage.
I plan to t off from the pluming in the house and take the MDPE pipe out of the wall using a hockey stick pipe and insuduct.
I thought that would work, but I’m being scuppered by the house foundations which extend out further than the wall itself so the insuduct can’t go straight down without some major foundation chopping.
I want the MPDE pipe to run where the orange arrow is.
Yellow and red arrows are the old foundations and new extension foundations.
Blue is where the trap for the soakaway will meet the gutter.
There’s also an armoured cable in the mix, but that can be cut if necessary as it was just for garden lights.
Original plan was to take the insuduct straight down to 750mm below ground, but with the foundation in the way it’s not going to happen.
As you can see I’ve chipped a bit from the old foundation to accommodate the trap for the soakaway.
I found some suggestions on the United Utilities website about what to do in such situations:
Shall I do the same as the middle image on the top - but then meeting the insuduct and cut it to ground level? Ie chip the foundation a bit and use a flexible insulation pipe.
Or is there any better suggestions out there?
Thanks
Andy
