Contemplating changing an elderly Trianco oil fired boiler for something new and condensing (not combi). I have heard bad things about the latest Trianco boilers. Are there any that people would or would not recommend?

Thanks,

Somian

With an oil boiler the only main part the manufacturer is providing is
the case and the heat exchanger.

Most of the boilers are very similar as they all use burners from
a small number of burner manufacturers so there is very little
to choose from in terms of reliability. Provided they make
the heat exchanger well which they should do as they have been
doing it for long enough.

Can't say on the grant boilers but I have installed and serviced a few
warmflow boilers and they seem reasonable for the price.
I believe they currently come with a 5 year warranty which can't be bad.

Avoid worcester overpriced and annoying design.

What's wrong with your existing boiler, apart from it being a bit old?

I wouldn't fit a warmflow in my house Carp boiler very poor customer service we used ot be a warrenty agent for them but got fed up trying to get paid for service call completed customers were usually hostile due to the hassle getting manufacturer to respond to issues!! nuff said
