new PC

Curreently have a Dell 8400 with pent 4 3.2 and 3gig ram


What would be considered a reasonably fast PC these days. Not the best/fastest/most expensive today but last weeks best/fastest etc

Depends what you use it for.

Video editing, graphics etc you need an i7 860

Gaming, general use quad core is the norm these days
