I'd say open the balancing valve a bit more but it looks like you have iso valves on there as well. Are they full bore?

have you done all the clearing air locks and balancing procedures ?

If yes and the heat emitter (not a radiator :sneaky: think about it ) is still not preforming to the installation instructions (please provide the installation pdf for us to check whats wrong).

Have you read and understood the merchants glossy advert and the manufactures installation instructions, ask the selling merchant is the first route of fault finding and also the legal route (y).

Nice looking 'heat emitter' thou which looks like it could be a horizontal or vertically mounted with the correct hooks/brackets and any diverter/baffle correctly orientated/removed if required.

1st off .... get those ISO/service valves off, they're a choke point for any corrosion/debris & they are also prone to leaking at the ball with the hot/cold cycles, they're not designed to be use on CH.

Is the radiator baffled? It may need the flow and return piped at specific ends. Is it designed to be on its side like that?

Some designed for both horizontal or vertical mounting have knock outs just inside the valve so they can be used in a particular orientation.

Yep get those isolating valves removed as they are designed for hot and cold water up to a max of 60c

I suspect it's designed for vertical positioning. The isolating valves will still have a higher flow than a lockshield setting, so it's unlikely they are restricting the flow. If the RH side of the rad is hot, and the left cold, then that suggest the flow is on the RH side, so make sure the TRV is bi directional.

Thanks for taking the time. The right side is very hot and the centre slats on the left are too. It’s only the very top left and bottom left slats that only get warm. TRV is bi directional

Service valves are directional if not full bore - they have an arrow on them, so one will be wrong and prone to leak.

Get rid of them. And check for baffles as others have said. Have you concentrated pump pressure to just that rad, to see if that gets it evenly hot? Sometimes that’s all that needs doing to get a stubborn rad working correctly - and then keeps working when other rads are opened up again.

Thanks guys. This was A not so little job I did for my brother so will mention it to make sure he try’s the balancing thing.
I don’t know if this makes any difference but although this is a new radiator it is not an additional one. I removed 2 in the same room (conservatory) that had been teed from 1 set of flow and return and reused the pipes just on a different wall to supply this one.
Thanks again for the help and advice guys
