Hi all,
Looking for some advice, just purchased and moved into a 2bed 12 year old apartment situated on the 1st floor (with car port taking up the ground floor).
After 3 months we found the water tank leaking so paid British Gas to fit a new Worcester green star 28i junior conbi mark 5.
We have noticed that no matter how high we set the thermostat the 2 bedrooms do not seem to get hot (although the radiators them selfs get very hot)
I am assuming that this is due to the radiators in the bedrooms not being up to spec (single convector, single panel) to heat the rooms (with the extra cold from the car port below)
I have ordered 2 new myson double convector radiators (around the same size as the current ones), will it be a straight swap (there are flexi hoses). My only concern at the moment is that the new rads feel much heavier then the original ones, should I be concerned about the weight on the walls? (I presume the brackets are screwed through the plasterboard into the solid brick outside walls?)
