I am not sure what you mean by real/mew fibrecrn slates.
You can readily buy new natural slates without holes.
Fibre cement slates come pre holed except for double width slates which are not holed: 500x500 or 600x600

Hey, how'd your project turn out?- wanting to do the same with slates. How did you stick them to wall and where did you source non holed slates? Im wanting to tile over tile and need something thin and natural looking.
