Good people of DIYnot,
I had been intending to check with building control but as they don't work weekends I've kept carrying on, worst case scenario the lot may have to come out and a plastic chamber put in, but

Do you think running a plastic soil pipe into the existing chamber to meet the existing invert (if not maybe 5/10mm higher and notching the new plastic pipe to accommodate the existing soil from a downstairs toilet would be considered acceptable.

Chamber is double skin engineers, found a couple of bricks the builder used in the haunching probably to save on the lean mix.

Cheers

Not sure you are allowed inspection chambers in houses these days
Really? It's an extension, approved planning didn't raise any issues with it.

Also meant to say, ignore the other trench you can see, in hindsight I felt it would be too sharp a turn into the chamber.

Cheers

What do LABC say ?

I like this, answering a question with a question!

An excerpt from Part H for you @Murdochcat "Inspection chambers and manholes in buildings should have mechanically fixed airtight covers unless the drain itself has watertight access covers."
