We are going to replace a 1950's vented heating system in my dads house with a combi. Somebody said I should get a pumped system because the our water pressure is low, which will be a problem if two taps are opened at the same time. I told them I wanted to keep the loft free of pipes (ie. header tank etc.) and use the space occupied by the storage tank as a cupboard. They said there are modern sealed systems that not only don't have a header tank but also have an ultracompact storage tank. My question is whether such a system exists and what it is called so that I can look up some information on the web?

Thanks for your help.

The sealed system being referred to is an unvented cylinder, which require a G3 registered installer to fit and maintain. However I’m pretty certain you would need a decent amount of pressure and flow.
