Hi, I've popped over (been driven over) from screwfix forum, I'm fed up with the slagging off anyone gets in SF and came here via a link on one of BAS's posts!
This is like a breath of fresh air, friendly, comprehensive and imho accurate advice. Just did a spellcheck and 'screwfix' came up as an error with no alternative suggested

are some of those shall we say troublemakers that post on here over on that forum causing trouble there now?

lol, nah,I never take anything tooo seriously

but didn't like extremely offensive personal insults being bandied about on SF. I know moderators and their sensitivities can be a bit of a contentious issue, but they sure could do with some moderation over there

I have visited that site occasionaly

Its a mess

At least on here we do get the odd diy thread going ( just kidding )

Over there everything quickly degenerates into personal slagging off between various posters

I don't think anyone is all that offensive on this forum really. Yes people may get carried away with their own opinions and yes some will not even consider other viewpoints, but not usually to the point of been downright offensive.

I suppose it depends on how sensitive one is.

There are definately a few who consider themselves superior and it won't take you long to suss them out.
