We've just installed a Zanussi 1680 washer dryer, according to instructions. There's even a downloadable instruction video from the website, and of course, it makes it all look so easy. Everything we've done is according to instructions, and it should be straightforward, but .... the cold water inlet connection is leaking where it joins the water supply. The machine is cold fill only, so there is only one inlet hose to connect.

The connection is tight enough, but something is amiss, otherwise it wouldn't leak. So, what else can we do?

We have used the pipes supplied with the machine, nothing has been extended, added to, or replaced. We've just used everything as is, to minimise any complications such as leaking joins.

Is this a common problem? Would using a washer help? I just don't get it, I thought these connections were all supposed to be standard, so it shouldn't leak. :(

Problem solved, by disconnecting and reconnecting after a slight re-positioning of the inlet hose. The space where the hose and pipework is quite cramped, and so the hose was being forced to lie at an angle, but we've sorted that problem. It's working fine now, no leaks :)
