hi,
just got new cooker and went to connect it up after disconnecting my previous cooker and found that the terminals at the back of the new cooker have a live and neutral with just a small nut and washer and square metal plate behind, the earth is further up and over to the right,
i found it very awkward to connect to the small bolts and room is tight so i connected behind metal plates to make a better contact,is this ok and safe?
or should i revert back to trying to tighten the small nut and washer directly onto it
anyone who can help please
ps: cooker does work but ceramic hob swithes on and off and i don't know if this is normal or a fault or my method of wiring, previous cookers have had terminal type screws and worked fine. cheers
