hello all,
had my heating extended into my toilet and therefore took abit of the plaster board off. the work is completed and new plaster board put up and skimmed.
knowing nothing about painting, i painted straight on the new surface(magnolia-silk).i used a roller to do the painting and the surface has come up rough. i thought it was something to do with the roller so i bought another roller (for internal walls-emulsion)and completed the painting.
it is still the same ie routh surface instead of a smooth finish.
any advice please? do i have to take it off for a repaint and if so how do i take it off.
please advice.

Its probably ruff becasue it was part soaking into the surface as you were rolling...not allowing it to flow out

Give it a good rub down with 100 grade abrasive paper and do it again with a short pile sleeve.
