Dispatches goes undercover to investigate nursing standards and care of vulnerable elderly patients in two busy NHS hospitals, revealing a damning catalogue of inefficiency, neglect and sub-standard treatment.

Neglect, Inefficiency, Sub-standard treatment. Lets rename it the NIS service. Unfortunately this is all too common place, not just reserved to a couple of hospitals or treatment of the elderly. Thats what happens when you keep throwing more and more money at a rotten system. Come on Tony wake up and smell the coffee, you can keep plugging the holes with pound notes.

A colleague at work told me this evening that a friend of his was in the states and had an accident; on arrival at the hospital the first question was "are you insured?", (the guy was not from this country) he was not insured. They left him on the trolley, he died.

Now as bad as it is here, that is not going to happen, but........

I was mindful during the last few weeks when they showed a makeshift hospital in Indonesia, comments were made that, though the floors were being mopped daily, there was a distinct possibility of disease.........for goodness sake, there's a distinct possibility you can pick up MRSA in our hygienic establishments.
