Hey guys just signed to this site so go easy on me. I'm planning on going self employed as an electrician soon as i'm recently qualified, was wondering if anyone had any advice or pointers as to who I need to be registered with or the whole NICEIC situation. I'm from Northern Ireland and we dont have to certify all our work yet.

As above really but maybe get your self geared up with a nvq level 3 and get maybe JIB registered.Not a fan of NIC they always seemed far too money oriented for me but others on here have good things to say about them.As for domestic I would say NAPIT is the best but if you dont need it over there stay away from any of the self cert things is a touchy subject on here
