So, when we moved into the house back in 1998, not too long after we got new windows and doors - I think.. the front door was hollow, every time it rained the water left the door due to the same technique a toilet works. To get a new door, the house people would come out an fix it, but they never came when it rained as they don’t like working in wet weather.. so for years we have had this problem but they came out, forecast no rain, but we did get a quick heavy downpour, they then approved the new door.
On the new door, it had built in locks, so the night-latch is no longer required, and we asked if we could keep the locks, I have had a custom key for my set of keys, and I want to put the lock on my mini workshop, but I think the pole that twists when you turn the key is too short, and I can’t seem to find the pole only, unless they only come with the new cylinder and keys and can’t replace them? I just want to keep my key to open my area.
On my bbq kitchen area, I used feather boards as an external cladding, and I have 2 cupboards one each side of the bbq, but say are always rubbing, getting stuck or just won’t open, so is there a hinge I can put on? I currently have regular but hinges, and have used t hinges before, but they were the worst ones going.
On my mini shop, the doors can get blown open/shut, I am after something that locks the door to whatever position I need, and won’t blow open or shut on me… any ideas on the type of latch? Google doesn’t understand what I am after, sorry hope you can work out what I mean.
