I don't think you can buy that connector by itself, it's not very 'generic'. Be aware also, there are two versions of that connector, left and right handed...
Sadly the latter. I was thinking of cutting the lead and connecting the plug to the original power supply with a flex connector. Seems like the better option maybe.
You probably should reserve judgement in relation to even that until you have cut the cable and seen inside - they have been known to have a paucity of copper inside them!
