when the car starts the blue light comes on in the dash. this take ages to go out and when it does it sometimes comes back on while driving. is this usual for this model as there is no gauge meter on the dash just a blue and a red light?

No they all do it mate...when they feel like it, and some don't show a blue light at all. So long as the red one works! Keep an eye on the green antifreeze level...goes down a bit even if there are no leaks. Cheers John
