I have a Potterton Kingfisher MF, 4 years old.

Problem is that everything appears to be going (pump, fan, green light, see the flame through the front) but house is still cold.

How can I tell if pump is actually going, it has power to leads and vibrates/hums, pump is SMC and pretty old and there isn't a centre screw to turn.

The flame through the front seems pretty tame, I would have expected something a little more furnace like.

No change. I have been round house and listened to radiators which makes me think pump may not be working as there isn't the usual noises. Is there a reasonable simple way to poke thing back to life?

Better get another bag of coal in then...

Cheers for prompt reply.

New pump installed, heating still not going. Can now here water running through rads and so therefore think old pump was shot anyway. Boiler lights pilot OK but I don't think much is happening after that. Gas Valve has power going to it so it looks like yellow pages for a professional.
