I have Baxi Bermuda LFE back bolier, today I decided to purge the radiators and after that both my CH and HW don't seem to be working. I have a Grunforce pump which seems to be making a funny clicking noise. The pump doesn't seem to be recieving any water at all. I have gone up into the loft and checked all the pipes for air locks, but can't find the root of the problem. Please Please Help!

remove screw from pump - that should let any air out or there, and dribble quite a bit. I presume you checked the f/e tank has water in it? If you open a drain cock do you hear the f/e tank refilling. (Its output pipe can get blocked)
Have you bled all the radiators? Any bleed point in airing cupboard by HW cylinder ?

What do you mean by t/e tanks??? I have checked the tanks in the loft and they are both full of water. Every time i push the ball cock down water gushes out, but the gravity system doesn't seem to be working. I have checked all the connections in the airing cupboard where the tank is for air locks. Nothing seems to be working, do you thinks I should shut the mains water off and then try it again from scratch, or is this a job for the experts?????

f/e = Feed and expansion, the small tank in the loft. The pipe normally 22mm going up an over is the vent, and the smaller pipe is for feeding the system, and expanded water to come up.

It gets blocked. Often its a "soft" blockage which you can shift into the f/e tank if you're prepared to get some temporary plumbing together in the loft. A way you can sometimes get going temporarily is to connect your garden hose to the drain point and push water in that way. Needs 2 people and a clamp round the hose on the drain cock.
