Have just installed a new boiler on a traditional vented system. CH and HW are both pumped from boiler in garage. CH working fine but no hot water. Flow up to HW cylinder is tee'd - one way to the cylinder and the other as the feed from the header tank. The return out of the cylinder is also tee'd - one way returns to the boiler, the other is the expansion pipe up and over to the header tank. The only strange thing is the feed and expansion to/from the header tank are connected with a cross pipe?
Am getting hot water to the cylinder inflow but hardly any heat from the return at the top of the tank and no HW. Have bled the return for ages and no joy. Hot water seem to be being pushed up the feed pipe as well and even slightly warm in the pipe joining the feed and expansion pipes mentioned above.
Have also bled the feed and expansion pipes and the expansion is well above the water in the header.
Any ideas? Have been stumped by this for 2 days - nice warm house but no water is really irritating.
Thanks
