Can anyone save me from calling out an engineer?
I have a 2 year old Halstead Ace combi which for the last 4 days will only give luke warm water from the hot taps. Everything else is o.k. It fires up ok, pressure is at recomended levels and central heating is fine.
We have just had a new tap fitted and as a result had the mains switched off. Last year we had the mains water switched off and it seamed to cause the same problem, but sorted its self out in a few days!! this time it is continuing to be a problem.
When running water from the hot taps it takes a long time to heat up, it gets quite hot for a few seconds then starts to run luke warm and never heats up again.
This is driving me mad as I live in hope that the problem will vanish as it has done in the past..but somehow I don't think it will this time!!!!
Please help,
Girl with goose bumps xx

usually if you know what you are doing dont do a lot of repairs just got an half decent memory if your not sure get somebody in
you could wait for one of the repair lads to answer they will tell you
have you got the installation and servicing instructions
answer might be in there or you could try the website
:D
or could be sediment in the flow restrictor/filter if the water has been off
now about these goosebumps

Shall I leave you two boys to it !!! you seam to be having fun without me
What can you do for my goosebumps??

Name's not adam...shared e-mail address!!!but it's fun to keep you guessing
Tell me where you found my details so i can change them, I don't want everyone thinking i'm adam.

No, hav'nt fixed boiler yet, to tell the truth i did'nt really understand your answer but hav'nt looked at website yet. instruction manual no good.

Please use language that a dizzy girl can understand, unless you still have any doubts over my gender
