Hey all.
Tell me this isn't weird. Our upstairs shower - which had been working previously with good flow and temp - was reduced to a trickle immediately after our new hot-water storage tank was installed by our gas and oil company.
Called the company back, they had a look and told me it must be coincidence; and yet, the engineer fiddled with the temp control for the system which he thought was a bit low, and lo and behold, the upstairs shower now has good pressure again. I stupidly didn't check the temperature! Then, after he left, went to use the shower and found that although the flow is good, the water is luke-warm at best after running for 10 mins, when all other hot taps are delivering scalding-hot water in seconds.
The engineer, as he was leaving, said any further problems we'd have to talk to a plumber, since the fitting of the new tank couldn't be causing the problem in just one outlet.
I feel I should call the gas co back and ask them to reconsider since it really looks like these troubles are caused by something they're doing, but I'm a complete novice about plumbing so need a bit of educated advice!
Any help gratefully recieved!!
