MY vokera compact bolier gets heat to the radiators but no hot water comes to the taps. The pipes get warm it seems but doesn't distribute any heat out of my taps. The inititakl heat comes out for 3 seconds really hot then ice cold after that. A yellow light comes on instead of the green also.

can anybody help?...thanks

not sure what the yello light is for but it doesnt sound as if the flow switch is working. the boiler doesnt know you want hot water.

oh i see. Is this something i can do?..i mean do i just replace it and is it easy?...

thanks for that by the way

well its not difficult to replace i suppose, depends on how handy you are with tools and water.

TBH i would get someone to have a look at it could be something else.

This happens at least once or twice a year to my Vokera, just bleed all the radiators ( when the boiler's OFF ) making sure you keep your pressure level between 1 and 1 1/2. Works everytime. Or when the heating's on check the heat is even on all your radiators, if one is cool at the top that's the one that needs a bleed.

Yeah well you saw it didn't ya? When you Google Vokera problems his post comes up everytime and so it'll point all the 1000s of combi boiler owners out there that haven't a clue.

Are you the resident troll then mate?

yes in my spare time when not repairing Vokera boilers for a living, do I know more than you will ever know about boiler , the answer is yes I do
Haha I've forgotten more than you'll ever know mate. Not much work on then at this time of year? I wonder why......

I bow to you Guru, please join the Combution chamber part of this site so I can learn from you master (the combustion chamber is the hottest bit in the boiler )

Welcome to you, alex mills. NOT.

You joined last Saturday, posted that that you hammered a nail through a 22mm return pipe by way of a joke and come on this post bragging about how clever you are and start abusing people with a proven track record for assisting others.

I hope your stay here is as short as your temper.
Incidentally, you've said you know far more than the fellow contributor, Ian, I'd be really interested to know exactly how you've calibrated that fact.

By the way, it seemed your expertise with your van wasn't all that advanced either.
