NO HOT WATER - HELP

Hi guys, any help greatly appreciated.

One-bed flat, all electric, no gas at all.

For past two days there's been no hot water. All taps running cold. Am waiting for tenants to come home to get more info on boiler type etc.

Initial thoughts are the thermostat is buggered or an element needs replacing.

Will post more info shortly, but any ideas very welcome.

Does your thermostat 'click' when the water requires heating?

If it does then it's probably working ok.

Can you get to the elements? If so are they heavily scaled with limescale?

I'm not a boiler engineer but those were my inital thoughts fella.
