No hot water.

Hello, the hot water in our house has recently became a lot colder than normal. It is almost becoming impossible to have a bath, as it is just luke warm water.
The problem is the same in the kitchen sink, and basin in the bathroom.
Any suggestions? We were going to pay for a service on our boiler, but thought any ideas would help over the christmas period. We have tried adjusting the temp control for water on the boiler, but this didn't do anything.

Does the ch flow get hot when you run a hot tap? If so sounds like diverter valve stuck mid position.

Have just done sa,me fault and as usual d/valve needed new diapraghm £3.00 so get it changed before even thinking of new valve,easy to change if your 1/2 way useful with anything like this

Hello, huge apologies for late reply. We have been waiting for a plumber to check it and get back to us. At the moment, we have hot water if we run the taps really low. It is very hot this way. However, the plumber has advised we need a new diverter valve and quoted us £200 + VAT to sort this problem.
Does this seem like a huge amount of money for this problem, or is it to be expected?
