Ideal Combi Boiler Response 80

Currently I cannot get any hot water unless the heating is switched on.

I am assuming the boiler is quite old and was already in our house when we moved in.

I have checked that all the stop cocks are fully open.
The pressure is at 1.5bar as recommended in the manual.
The CH and HW switches are both on.

Can anyone suggest any checks I could carry out or if any components maybe faulty.

Would Ideal still any manuals available for this type of boiler (contact number ?)

With thanks,

Lee

Response 80 has a flowswitch located in the cold water inlet pipe just above the isolator. May have some debris in it which is not allowing the paddle to move.

Turn mains water off, unscrew flowswitch ( black plastic device) and check for debris in the pipe/switch).

Could be scale or thermister or pcb 38/40 if above is ok.

Let us know how you get on.

Ta very much.

Will try and clean out the flowswitch tonight when I get home.

If that doesnt do it, then I assume I will have to call out a plumber to check the thermister or PCB 38/40 (?).

Thanks for advice will let you know what happens.
