no spin on washing machine

Tricity bendix 850 , machine goes through full cycle but when it gets to spin cycle it spins for a few seconds and then stops and the timer goes through to end of cycle. Any advice would be appreciated. bigpeter

If it works, then fails on spin, maybe the timer? Otherwise it would not spin at all?

From that link, I see that it only misbehaves if the drum turns. Does it have an unbalanced load detector?
