Hi, How do you attach a chrome wall arm to the pipework coming out of the wall if there's no thread on the chrome wall arm?
It's just a pipe. It didn't come with any fittings and Aqualisa are telling me that it doesn't need any! I have a small stop valve that the plumber left me and I'm not getting him back..long story.
This fitting is just straight, no curve and one end where you fit the shower head has a thread.
Husband is pulling his hair out...well he would if he had any! Assume we have to attach a 15mm copper pipe to where the stop valve is, but what happens after that?
Thank you guys and gals.

What installation instructions came with that shower arm ?
I can't tell from your pics if it is supposed to be a push fit onto a copper pipe ,I expect it is.
You can't effectively connect it to what you have buried in the wall by the way. That isolation valve will need to be removed from the threaded ,female, fitting that it is screwed into before any shower arm can be connected.

Hi terryplumb, yes the isolation valve was what the plumber fitted. No fittings with the arm, otherwise I suspect it would be quite straightforward. Aqualisa are saying I don't need any! On you tube there's a white plastic flat plate, then another fitting that looks like an elongated top hat, plastic with a rubber ring on the end... I assume that's the push fit. Can I buy one of these from the plumbing shop and if so what in heavens name is it called.... cheers.

I think they're 15mm pushfit so you'll need a length of copper pipe sticking out ready to be trimmed when the finished surface is complete.

It shows you on u tube how to fit it .
I think its called a shower head spacer .
You need to take off the isolation valve and extend pipe out .

Hi Laurieo, I have seen this, but I don't have the parts....!

Contact Aqualisa and ask if they can send you a spare as yous is missing . Or return it to the shop where purchased .

Mira use a similar kit for their wall and ceiling arm outlets. with theirs it is, in effect, a double sided pushfit fixing. The outlet pipe is grabbed and sealed by the plastic fixing and that in turn has an outside O ring that the arm pushes onto.

With the Aqualisa easy fit, it's even easier than that, as suggested, it should have a spacer, tube and O ring

Whoever told you @ aqualisa it doesn't need anything is full of it, contact them again and tell then what you need.

Sorry just read your first post about Aqualisa .Screwfix sell these shower heads and are very good at taking things back ,if you get my drift .

Hi,
Is there any danger when drilling the 4x fixing screws into the wall, with perhaps tubing behind it?
