No vapour barrier behind plasterboard - does it matter?

Recently posted about getting some plastering work done and whether to board and skim or just chip off old skim and re-skim... Trades did the latter in most places but we decided to board in some small areas for various reasons.

On one wall in particular, they put 10mm gyproc board on the wall and skimmed over. There's no internal insulation between this board and wall, nor a varpour barrier built into the board. The wall in question is about 3m x 2.4m and is an exterior wall - red brick cavity. The cavity = 50mm filled with platinum bead.

The wall happens to have a radiator on it and we keep the house well-ventilated and at a fairly constant temperature.

Just want to avoid mould etc. between the board and the wall - is this likely? Would it be an idea to use a vapour-retarding paint on this wall to be safe?

The inner face of a cavity-insulated wall will not get very cold, and IME is not prone to condensation.

Do you get condensation on the windows?

Thanks @JohnD. No, we don't typically get window condensation in that room as no-one sleeps there. Might change in the future if we have kids! But I'll always keep an eye on humidity levels / temperature...
