Hi

we have a Triton T70XR and the other day it just stopped working. Having looked on other threads, we tested the resistance of the solenoid coil which was 3.6. So wondering if it is the pull cord, having opened it up as much as i can, one of the cables looks a burnt. Could this be the cause of the shower not working?

Thanks

I can't tell from your picture, but it's a common problem. You'll probably find the voltage drops under load, and the screw heats up. The wire will be loose in its terminal.

Needs cutting back and re-terminating for sure. To answer your question yes it could stop your shower working. Other common problems with Triton is the filter getting blocked or the Thermal Cut out.

so we cleaned/ cut back what we could and replaced the pull cord switch, it lit up which it wasnt before and the shower made a noise but no water still. going to have a look at the filter next i guess. any other thoughts please let me know

many thanks

Before it stopped what was it working like? Did you have decent pressure and was it getting hot enough?

Aside from the problems mentioned above, my thoughts are going down the line of scale if you live in a hard water area. What part of the country are you in?

It was hot enough, pressure was OK could of been better but the same the whole time we have lived here.

We live in Sussex
