Hi sorry if this has been covered before.
I have just finished laying new joists (in-between the old ones) in my loft. The old ones were only 2"x3" and in pretty bad condition. The new joists are 2000mm x 47mm treated c16 timber spaced 400mm apart and span 6.5 metres (front to back) with a loading bearing wall right in the middle which supports the centre of each joist.
To avoid the joists twisting I am planning on putting in three rows of noggins between the joists. What size should they be?
Should I place them over the central load bearing wall and at both ends close to the external walls?
