Noise from Boiler

Hi all.

I recently noticed a clicking noise coming from the vicinity of my boiler. On checking, the noise was actually coming from a blue box next to the boiler. It has 'Switchmaster' written on it but no model number. There is a white dial in the centre which can be set to either 'Hot Water', 'Central Heating' or 'Central Heating and Hot Water'.

Please can anyone tell me what this box does. I am aware that Switchmaster no longer exists but is there a replacement product that can be installed without having to adjust the pipework.

Replace with honeywell.

6 wires into 5.

Red and orange together.

By memory SW yellow - HY white (I think)

The rest are the same colours but I MAY BE WRONG.

The experts on here will put me right

Is there any particular Honeywell model number and will any adjustments to the pipes be needed.
