Noisey fan - Ariston EuroCombi A23 MFFI

When the CH kicks in the fan (Part 57) has started to become rather noisey. Am I able to get to it myself and give it a clean or is it a 'book and engineer in' to get it looked at please?

I have been told not to remove the quarter pipe as it may break the seals.

Is the fan situated inside the quarter pipe or in the top part of boiler itself please (because if I tap the quarter pipe it does seem to affect the noise level from the fan)?

The fan will need replacing by a registered engineer as it must be checked for flue readings after fitting
