I have a Halstead hero 60, fitted about 5 years ago into a relatively old system, works via a Grunfoss 15-50 pump.
I have recently replaced 3 of the 6 rads in the house for brand new ones and also at the same time removed the other 3 and given a propper flush though.
I have filled the system with an inhibitor after running water through the system which was coming out perfectly clear.
Now when the temp control is set anything above 25% the boiler howls.
There is enough heat to warm the house and hot water in the winter but have had to turn the cylinter stat down otherwise the water just never reaches temp (currently about 50'c)
I have had several suggestions but need to know which to go with...
* The primaryies are the opposite way around to the previous boiler so one loops over the other, should the piping be relaid so they have a straight run in and out of the boiler? is this a mixed in/out pressure?
* What chemicals would clean any scale out of the heat exchangers? can i recover the system from this situation?
* Is this a case of needing a new Heat Exchanger?
Best practice or advice gladly received.
Thank you, Neil
