Hi. I had double glazing fitted to both floors of a semi, early last year. have a FENSA certificate and a 10 year "guarantee", but needless to say the company has now ceased trading.

Most of my windows are unbelievably noisy when the wind blows, sounding like an off tune bagpipe player. They appear to close ok. Could it be the seals? Are they adjustable? Could it be the seal between window and brickwork? HELP!!!

Why did you have the glazing fitted to the floors? :D (Sorry, couldn't resit it)

I am not an expert on double glazing, but I did cure a similar problem I had with a 'noisy' upvc door. I couldn't see any obvious gaps between the surround and the brick, but I ran some silicon sealer around the frame and it cured the problem.

Oh, and this is just a 'long shot' but are there closeable vents in your window frame? This is something I experienced in my last house - the vents had some fine mesh inside them, and when they were open and it was windy I could swear it played a 4/4 reel in G minor

Do you feel any draughts coming in the windows? Try using an incense stick or something that will give a constant stream of smoke and you should spot any 'problem' areas.

Good luck.
