Guys, I'm a newby so be kind!! We have almost finished installing our new kitchen (well, new to us!!) and we are trying to work out how the fan assisted oven works (installed by an electrician) and upon turning the dial to heat, signified by a fan sign, the fan spins but it makes a noise as though it is catching on something. The oven came with the kitchen and is in spot on condition. Can the fan be adjusted or will it need replacing or do we need to look for a new oven? Your advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you for the reply. The oven isn't new. The chap I bought the kitchen off said the kitchen, oven and hob had been in situ for a couple of years. The reason they were selling is an extension allows a super duper new kitchen that his gaffer had fancied for a while. So, I really bought the units and the oven, if I wanted it came along too. It's in very good condition, but it is second hand. What I need to ascertain is whether I can adjust or replace the fan or whether the oven needs replacing. I'll be in tears if the oven is no good as it's in such lovely condition and the cost of a replacement will nullify the saving made by buying second hand units (all we could afford right now). Maybe one of the blades are catching on the back panel of the oven?
