Hi, I have a valliant combi boiler at home (not sure how old it is - would guess over 5 yrs though) which on & off for the last 12 months is occasionally making a noise that sounds like a trombone being played (badly).
It seems to happen about 10 mins after the heating goes off, the pressure is usually ok - around 1 - 1.5 and the only way of stopping it is to open the hot water tap (but as soon as closed it starts again) or to open 1 of the taps leading to the boiler - the pressure goes sky high, the noise stops & my overflow starts dripping....
Any advice? My plumber doesnt seem to know whats causing it.
Thanks!
