Must confess I have lost touch with Nokia. My work phone is a C5 and that's the latest phone I know!

But I do know the cameras are well thought of, with Carl Zeiss lenses.

I have decided I spend so little on airtime that I will buy my phones SIM free and then buy airtime separately.

The phone I am currently looking at, I can buy one off Amazon (a UK model), put the same amount again into savings for another in 2 years time and still have enough (just!) to buy enough airtime per month, all for what 3 want for the same phone on the cheapest 24 month contract.

It's a no-brainer. But I admit if I needed much more airtime, I'd be stuck.

Thought I would give an update on the Nokia Lumia 920, I have been getting to grips with it these last few days, when I have a fag break I log on to DIYnot to see if I'm missing anything, however this morning I unplugged the battery charger and the screen was blank, long story short version, I went to the 3 shop in the Mall and simply by pressing two of the keys on the side it reboots it or something, these Chinese are so clever..

Yeah, Samsungs can do that, too.

It's a bit frightening.

There's also a combination of key presses on the side to bring it back to life.

How come you needed a reboot on a new phone? That sounds a bit major!

He called it something different, problem is the batteries are no longer removable on the new phones to clear them. Also when you drop them on the floor the don't fall apart into three sections anymore  .

However tomorrow my woes are over, if the postman does his job.

The plot thickens, after my visit to the 3 shop the phone was dead again yesterday morning, this time I reset it myself then thought; phone 3 and let them know I have a problem, he phoned me back on the land line and shut my phone off from their end then we did a restart, although I lost my photos and contacts he assured me it was sorted. If not then they would replace them phone.

This morning guess what! It was dead again so rang 3 and the girl said no problem we will get the phone back in and repair it, by this time there is steam emanating from my ears, I said its a new phone I don't
want it repaired I want a new one, I had already wasted about two hours going to the mall etc. Result is the new phone arrives tomorrow..
