Hi

I am going to be using 6mm NoMorePly on a concrete floor, will their adhesive bond it to the floor without any problems? It is a 1971 house so it's well cured. I assume I will have to clean it and maybe prime as well. Any advice on preparation gratefully received.

I will be using this as the base for Karndean gluedown planks.

Thanks

Andy.

1971 your concrete might not have a damp proof membrane ? Can you see any sheet around the perimeter.
any reason why you aren’t using a smoothing compound over the concrete.

The house was built by the previous owner who was a local builder at the time. As I understand it, a DPM became a regulation back in the 60s.

I took the wall down between the kitchen and dining room so there is a slight difference in height so I don't want to use a self leveller as it will mean that I will have to do the entire downstairs floor.

1965 but most houses before 1980 don’t have a effective Dpm under it so laying glue down LVT will stop the floor breathing which can cause damp. Test it and if it has moisture put a liquid Dpm over it.
