not a lot of hot water

drained my system to fit new rad , now indirect cylinder feed really hot but return pipe cold . have drained system b4 and never had trouble , could this be an air lock ?
any ideas would be welcome
its an old baxi solo boiler , which hot water and rads have different pipes coming from boiler
should explain i do get some water but it's not getting hot enough

Sounds like you`ve an air lock in the coil. You no air bleeds near the inlet to the cylinder?
